Adam raised a glass to its humour and humanity last month in celebration of its half-decade anniversary, so I thought I'd delve into its modding community to mark the occasion too.
Recommendations in mods are very welcome! Not looking for Del or realism mods.Crusader Kings 2 is (somehow) now five years old. No matter what mod I use, the AI CONSTANTLY requests peace, even if it just declared war on me. I realize this is realistic in some cases- a tactical withdrawal sometimes makes sense-, but when defending capitals or walled towns where they might win, the AI ALWAYS runs away. I also wish the AI would stand and fight, instead of abandoning its towns. I have tried severely handicapping myself- a lot of the mods do that- and I know Rome fields the best armies (as they should!), but I never feel like the AI is as aggressive as it should be. I just like being able to reload if I mis click where I wanted an army to go, for instance. I don't even reload games when I lose battles, but it rarely happens as it is. The only reason I don't play on Legendary is that I don't like the idea of not being able to save. Radious faction unit packs such as barbarian, eastern factions, etc.Ģ.1 Better campaign AI (I don't have these two on at the same time at the moment) I never get stacks of armies attacking me like I see in pictures. I'm able to start steamrolling pretty early on, and never really feel challenged. I'm wondering what others experiences are like when running AI mods such as Very Aggressive AI. I kinda feel like mods might be interfering with other mods, but I'm not sure.
Big factions such as Carthage declare war early on, but don't do anything. I never feel challenged I've tried Radious AI mod, and the 2.1 better campaign AI mod, but I constantly run in to panzy factions that immediately after declaring war on me or if I declare war on them, will request peace every turn. I've always tried mods such as Very Aggressive AI, and this really helps, but it's still too easy. With that, the game already starts out super easy. I always play as rome- can't stand to play as anyone else.
I'm looking to make my campaign more difficult.
